Several states have voter ID laws and have had them for years, have those states noticed drops in voter fraud?

in short, do these bills DO ANYTHING? there should be some evidence out there by now, right?

let me guess, they don't do anything, you all know it, and now you're just going to talk about beer and welfare and "how it's just the right thing to do" since you have no actual proof?Several states have voter ID laws and have had them for years, have those states noticed drops in voter fraud?
Voter ID fraud is minuscule. The most successful fraud/error is in purging voter registration rolls, rigged or malfunctioning voting machines, deliberately publicizing wrong dates to keep people from going to the polls on the correct day or voting absentee by the correct deadline, etc.
Let me guess...You have no idea what you are talking about. Support your argument with facts and not guesses.Several states have voter ID laws and have had them for years, have those states noticed drops in voter fraud?
proof?
Since those states did not have rampant voter fraud to begin with (and neither do ANY of the states), there's no way to compare before and after.Several states have voter ID laws and have had them for years, have those states noticed drops in voter fraud?
How can 0% drop any further?

That kind of voter fraud is pretty much nonexistant in the US. So that can't be why they want these laws past.
Actually, there was a study done during the Bush presidency that took 5 years and found that out of 180,000,000 votes cast they found 18 examples of voter fraud of which they got 5 convictions. So as you can see you have a much higher chance of being hit by lighting than voter fraud.
The claims for voter fraud are only rarely substantiated as being valid. Americans tend to be unusually honest about voting. Voter ID laws at best only clear up the process of registering to vote, and at worst they become a burden on legal citizens to register and vote.

I will be spending next Monday registering new voters in the state of Florida. Our new laws concerning registering voters is draconian in its penalties and severe in its mandate. The only possible reason for that is to suppress voting by minorities. So we will make even more effort to get all minorities registered to vote.
no because most of the problems with voter fraud originates in the registrars office not at the voting booth

if you can't get an ID you don't need to vote. ( signed, Liberal)

Should people not be required to show a ticket to get in a movie since so few people sneak in without paying?
No. -But ONLY because there has NEVER BEEN- that much "Voter Fraud"- in the FIRST Place !! :o
lol at all the libs wanting a source they don't believe any state requires voter id.

here is their source.

They do nothing, since there is no wide spread voter fraud to begin with. The Acorn cases have all been about registering voters, not voting itself. Just because you fill out a registration card for Mickey Mouse, that does not mean a 6 foot tall rodent is going to show up to vote.
Measuring drop in voter fraud in pretty tough. You can only really measure failed attempts.
Actual voter fraud (someone showing up at the polls claiming to be someone else) is more rare than someone being killed by lightning.

since there is no voter fraud to begin with, survey sez "no".
