To start off i would like to say that i thought it was because of me lacking sleep but i got 10 good hours and was energetic but this one teacher I have is extremely boring. I have her for two different periods (just my luck). Sometimes she has a video or movie on and the room is dark and I drift in and out of sleep. I just cant stay awake in her class. she has nothing interesting to say and no one who has her thinks she's qualified to teach honors geography and language arts. I need some ideas of things to do to keep me awake. also, when she starts talking she makes us clear our desks so i cant draw or anything.How to keep myself awake in a boring class?
We have all been there! I have used a variety of techniques to keep myself awake including -
Bringing in a huge thermos of coffee
Eating (but that puts on the pounds after a semester or so, so I don't recommend it)
Trying to write down every work the professor says - futile and just as boring
Playing games such as "Bull S### Bingo". This involves making a grid with buzz words and then crossing them off as you hear them. Can be amusing if played with others, but you must guard against yelling "Bingo"!
If this is a class that you know you won't be called on in, bring something interesting to read. But be subtle. It's rude to have a big book that obviously isn't a text.
Once I sat in the back of the room and surreptitiously addressed my Christmas cards, Occasionally I would look up, make eye contact and nod in agreement with whatever was being said.
Doodling can be fun, but may not amuse you for the entire class.
In all of these, you must be sure to get someone's notes.

Pull out a piece of paper and draw even if you cant draw. and sometimes just fall asleep if you have to.
I like to draw some penis's and balls in detail.
earphones.
have your phone/ipod in your pocket and bring your earphones up your shirt and put them in. use your hair to cover them if you can.

Bring water. Maybe slap yourself or get engaged into the conversation. Do anything but close your eyes.
My friend told me that drinking coconut water helps, but I drink soymilk instead. I jerk my feet around under the desk too.
GUM. Gum does wonders!
Bring a bag of M%26amp;M's that every time you feel yourself drifting off you can pop a couple into your mouth to wake you up. It'll bring up your blood sugar a liiiittle bit and it'll keep you alert for about 5-10 minutes. Repeat as necessary.
If you don't have this, you can try chewing gum, although I found this does the same thing as the M%26amp;M's where it'll perk you up for 5-10 minutes, but then you're back to being drowsy and you can't really just keep chewing new pieces so often.
think about something
talk to your friends quietly
try to disrupt the classroom
keep on asking her questions that will take her a long time to answer
have a debate about something with her
get her annoyed by tapping the desks so she will stop talking
ask to go to the nurse because of some reason or other
go to the toilet
start having a coughing fit
leave something at the class before and ask to go get it...if she says no, tell her its very important that you get because you need it right now or something
(dont do them too often though...she might get really annoyed and get you in trouble)
