Christians, do you believe that, if you fear something is going to happen, it will?

This is a thought my former pastor brought up concerning what Job said as the reason he was really suffering so much. Also, some of those things happened to me, but I'm in no way suggesting we cannot overcome all of this before and after. Thanks for answering.

Job 3:25Christians, do you believe that, if you fear something is going to happen, it will?
I think that goes back to 'name it,claim it'. If you SPEAK it (bad), I do believe that satan says 'aha' %26amp; jumps in there to make it happen. The spoken word is powerful. The bible tells us to not to have idle words. When we believe and ask God, we can thank Him that it is a done deal.

God bless you
I really try not confess anything negative. That gives more power to Satan. If you are already fearful, Satan is already in the situation. If I am anxious about something, I discuss it in detail with the Lord. I am always hopeful that X won't happen but if it does, I know the Lord knows about it.Christians, do you believe that, if you fear something is going to happen, it will?
Well, I think God created us with emotions and fear can be one of them. I doubt you are talking about walking in wisdom and know when to be afraid of petting a rabid dog or running in front of a car. In so many accounts in the Bible God or angels say Fear not, or do not be afraid. It seems to me, as I study these account, they are always bringing good news and also news that may go against our common sense, but encouraging the men and/or women to trust God, let Him fight the battle and He will bring the victory. So to answer your question, don't stay in fear but move forward. I try to always face my fears and teach my children to, as well. I don't know if that seems contradictory, but then I also emphasize to myself or to them, that if we walk in faith it will crowd out fear.
I believe that, and Im a Pagan.
