How come Marines and Soldiers, are always doing something it seems that's disrespectful to Islam?

Those Marines were peeing on the bodies of Taliban, and there have been 1 to many incidents of US soldiers doing things like this in Islamic countries when it is a serious sign of disrespect, to Islam AND it should be a serious sign of the lack of training these soldiers get.



Lately though, why have the US Military been doing thing to Islamic bodies?



Hopefully they will be sentenced to the fullest extent of the Law, which I assume is dishonorable discharge and years in prison.How come Marines and Soldiers, are always doing something it seems that's disrespectful to Islam?

You know, if the video you reference is in fact real, it amounts to something like .004% of members of the Military. What peeves me is there is not word one of the 1000's of acts of decency and goodness our Soldiers and Marines do on a daily basis, You don't see the Marine that carried a hurt child for 5 miles to get medical help, you don't see the Soldier that gave up his meal to a gaunt little kid, you don't hear about the Soldier that helped an old woman carry her belongings to a new home because the taliban were terrorizing her, her children and grandchildren. Nope you don't see that but you sure as Hell see every stinking little bit of bad the FEW bad apples do.

They aren't "always" doing things like that. Now that I have answered your full question, I'm going to say that it's not because they're Islamic. Just guessing, but I think it has something to do with the fact that the Taliban shot and them and killed their fellow soldiers. And let's not forget about that whole 9/11 thing. I'd consider that disrespectful to say the least.
Things like the Marines peeing on the dead bodies have always happened in every war or conflict, even worse things then peeing on a dead body, it's nothing new, it has happened ever since man started fighting each other. The reason we see it now, is because of modern technology. Believe me, it's nothing new.
First of all if you haven't experienced combat, then you have know idea the emotional toll it takes on a person. Anger, frustration, confusion, depression, all magnified x10. Spend 7 months to a year in a foreign country, watching friends die, knowing you could be next, and then tell me that you wouldn't hate your enemy enough to do something like this.

FYI: Its war...War is destructive and inhuman no matter how you look at it. If you want to blame someone, blame the politicians in Washington who put the Marine in that situation. Or blame the News organization for publicizing the picture and creating the outrage.
They were the exception,to the rule but the rest who do a good job and get no credit for it because of a few that screwed up and this may get more soldiers killed, if they are American that's alright because you caused the problem and you have 2 million troops what about those other innocent nato troops, booby traps are a non selective weapon so stand on it you're injured or dead whether you're American or Canadian, Spanish or Norwegian or any of the other 20 odd nationalities in this conflict as they will all be tarred with the same brush

Desecrating dead Muslim Afgans is extremely offensive all Afgans. We all know that. Every Marine should know that too. They should also know that this war will not be won on the battlefield, but is a war of ideology. Therefore, pissing off the people whose hearts and minds you're trying to win is very very stupid, and very costly. How many billions will it take to undo, and how many more Marines will die because of the stupidity of a few jackass Marines.
emotions run high when people are trying to kill each other. each and every one of those soldiers lost a friend, comrade, brother/sister to the opposition. the standards of etiquette tend to get strained under those circumstances. also, whats up with the beheading videos that seem to keep popping up from the other side? we consider that to be more than just a little rude.
first of all i don't suppose many muslims would consider the taliban real muslims since the taliban do the exact opposite of what it says in the koran and second its not muslims that are kicking up a fuss. so really i find it hard to believe that this is an insult to islam maybes an insult to the taliban but hey isn't that a good thing (they are the enemy right)

Personal is ALWAYS a part of combat, in case you didn't know. High standards also don't mean much while the bullets are flying. Many people think this incident is no big deal, many others think it is horrible. I would ask those fools, What were you THINKING posting that to you tube?

There are almost 2 MILLION men and women in our armed forces. Like any group, there are going to be a few bad ones. I prefer not to judge 2 million based on the actions of 5 or 6.

So let me get this straight...it is ok for them, probably only 10 minutes before that video, to shoot the Taliban in the face or totally vaporize them with a 2000lb JDAM...that is ok with you...but peeing on their dead bodies is somehow atrocious and beyond the pale?

And certainly peeing on dead bodies is much more reprehensible and offensive to Islam than throwing acid in the face of girls walking to school, stoning women to death, and suicide bombing the marketplace?
