I eventually became very withdrawn and anxious in public situations, whereas before I liked meeting people and never felt uncomfortable with people around me - at least not in an irrational way. I would feel uncomfortable in the normal situations, of course; say if my trousers fell down(!) But during this bad time I felt a lot of anxiety around others. I was depressed, had bad insomnia, and felt my mental health was badly effected.
I am feeling better now, mainly because my health problem has improved a great deal, but also because time is the healer I guess. Before this all started, I used to enjoy doing things. Like I used to enjoy public performance - the feeling of acting and playing music in front of others (I am a pianist sort of). I also enjoyed going for walks with my family and my dogs in big, green, leafy parks with fields and streams and forests. And I enjoyed going to the cinema with friends. And other things. I remember the knowledge that I enjoyed these things 鈥?I know I did - but I cannot remember the actual feeling so well. This is why I am asking this question. I want you to tell me what you enjoy, and what it feels like, if you can, so that maybe it will jog my memory and help me to feel it again. Why do you think you enjoy it?
So, what brings you genuine happiness and enjoyment? I mean an activity that you do because you love doing it, pure and simple. Not something you do because you feel like you should because of how you look, and what it means to others that you do it maybe. I want to know about the things you do for you, that make you feel good, that you naturally gravitate towards because the feeling is good for you. And why.
I'm sorry, I know this all sounds a little bit silly, self-occupied and overly-sensitive. But it is all an honest reflection of how I am feeling right now. I hope this goes some way in making up for that.
Thanks,

What I love best is being outdoors and just immersing myself in a beautiful natural environment. I like the feeling of being at one with nature. I love views over wide open spaces or across the water out to the horizon because the magnificence of it stirs the soul and just makes me feel like all is well with the world! Looking out gives me a whole fresh new sense of perspective too, about my place in the world, and then things don't seem so overwhelming anymore. I also enjoy taking a leisurely pace and always making sure there's time to stop and enjoy things of beauty ... a flower, a bird, a seashell, a pretty sky, dew, rainbows, whatever.
Other things that bring me happiness are banter with others, especially children and favourite friends. It feels warm and affectionate. I especially enjoy this over a shared meal or drink. When I'm alone, I love reading and writing because they take me into another world, for just a little while, and writing is especially pleasurable because it's an outlet for creativity. I love playing with stationery ... I like my collection of pens, pencils, papers, stickers, glitter etc.! I like framing photos both for display in our home and for scrapbooks and albums. I love the art aspect of it, and I enjoy both the process and the finished product. It makes me feel peaceful, quiet, and deeply contented.
As another creative outlet, I enjoy menu-planning and baking, and also sewing.
And finally, music is another thing that brings me real enjoyment. I just like the feeling of being lost in the music!

TL:DR, but in answer to your title-question, I love to play guitar, do so most days, I love that I can play most of the music I grew up to and still love, and constantly find new music which inspires me. I'm better than I ever believed I would be, and my friends would think it odd for me to turn up at a party or gathering without a guitar now. I'm not the best out there, by a thousand miles, but I have my moments, and my music is a part of me, may it always be so.
You sound cool and positive..keep working at it Jamie. Things can only get better! I enjoy playing Organ and Piano..its relaxing and worthwhile. I enjoy watching Soccer. My 9 grankids give me great pleasure. Stay focused and positive. You have only one life span..dont waste it..live life to the full now! Best wishes!
Wow I love your spelling and grammar!
Anyway lol, yeah the best time I ever had with my friends was when we all went thorpe park, its was just awesome.
But now I like the company of girls, not that I'm sexually attracted to them, I just find it a lot nicer talking to girls I can be my self, where as with my friends everything had to be a joke.
After thorpe park I stopped hanging out with those guys because I realised that they're not my true friends and they were just a bad influence...
So yeah, get a girlfriend or something, but make sure that your happy with her, not just making her happy.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I enjoy time alone, some solitude and time to think. I like to get out in the countryside and walk, or go fishing somewhere nice and secluded to think my own thoughts uninterrupted. I enjoy it because it gives me time to think things through and be away from the normal day to day routine of earning a living and dealing with the necessities, paying the bills, keeping the home together etc. It settles me and prepares me for the next round of 'normality'.
